Day 21: I Am From

I'm from the hot summers of Arizona and Colorado. 

From swimming until I got wrinkled like a raisin 

From colorful melting popsicles 

I'm from grilling on Sunday with oldies playing on the radio.

I'm from cooking alongside my mom in the kitchen.

From all the recipes we've cooked together.

I'm from all the things my mom has taught me about life. 

I'm from all the things my dad has shown me. 

I'm from all the mistakes I've made in the past that have made me

who I am today.

These are the things that make me who I am.
