Somos Escritoras Applications for our 2022 Summer Workshop is LIVE!
This workshop is designed for Latina girls (grades 6-8) to join en comunidad to become braver together through storytelling, art, and writing. Workshops run for two weeks – June 6-June 17, 2022 (Monday-Friday) from 9:00-12:00 p.m. CST.
We are looking forward to in-person (around the Austin and Cedar Park, TX community) and remote sessions with a special celebration of writing for all of our escritoras and their family and friends.
With the current attack on our voices, stories, and histories, we invite you to join our comunidad of chicas y mujeres fighting to ensure that we continue to amplify our voices and speak our truths through art, writing, and storytelling.
As our ancestors used stories to ensure our survival and to pass along our rich traditions, we follow in their legacy.
