Dear Escritoras,
Somos Escritoras is committed to fighting the racial injustices that plague our world. The events that transpired at the U.S. Capital further affirm our commitment to our escritoras and our comunidad.
Somos Escritoras exists as a space for us to come together en comunidad to reflect upon our lives and examine and critique our worlds. We have the opportunity to make a difference in the world by documenting our experiences and those of our family and communities to demand justice.
We invite you to join us for a special vision board and intention setting workshop that we are hosting for Latina girls in 6-12 grade. The workshop will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 10:00-11:30 a.m. (CST) and will be facilitated by the Somos Escritoras writing mentors.
This workshop is FREE and will be hosted via Zoom.
