During Hispanic Heritage Month, Somos Escritoras will be celebrating our brilliant and fierce educadoras – the mujeres serving our comunidades in the legacy of those that came before and for future generations. We honor these mujeres for not only their brilliance, but their fight, advocacy, counsel, intuition and love they bring to their work – which is about the collective y la comunidad. Through the month we will highlight our educadoras, instructional aides, custodians, parent support specialists and advocates, librarians, administrative assistants, directoras and district officials that work tirelessly to ensure that our students, families and comunidades thrive.
