Somos Escritoras/We Are Writers will be launching our first-ever virtual workshop/taller this Summer 2020!
As Gloria Anzaldúa reminds us, “I change myself, I change the world,” and we are thinking about the ways that we can dream of a new world and a new future alongside each of you. Our summer taller will run June 1-13, 2020, and will include a variety of virtual experiences. We will meet as a group, learn from special guest presenters and have some time on our own to create art and write about our lives, our cultura, our hopes, our dreams y más! At the end of our taller we will have a special virtual celebration of writing and sharing.
Somos Escritoras is FREE and for Latina girls entering 6th, 7thand 8thgrade.
Space is limited.
We will send each girl a care package of art and writing materials to participate in the taller.

¡Somos Escritoras / We Are Writers lanzará nuestro primer taller virtual este verano 2020!
Como Gloria Anzaldúa nos recuerda: “Me cambio a mí misma, cambio el mundo”, y estamos pensando en las formas en que podemos soñar con un mundo nuevo y un futuro nuevo junto a cada uno de ustedes. Nuestro taller se realizará del 1 al 13 de junio de 2020 y incluirá una variedad de experiencias virtuales. Nos reuniremos en grupo, aprenderemos de los presentadores invitados especiales y tendremos algo de tiempo para crear arte y escribir sobre nuestras vidas, nuestra cultura, nuestras esperanzas, nuestros sueños y más. Al final de nuestro taller tendremos una celebración virtual especial de escribir y compartir.
Somos Escritoras es GRATIS y para niñas latinas que ingresan a 6to, 7mo y 8vo grado.
El espacio es limitado.
Le enviaremos a cada niña un paquete de cuidado de arte y materiales de escritura para participar en el taller.
